We ordered a small thin crust cheese and a medium deep dish Bacon and mushroom pizza. Disclaimer* unlike El Presidente- I prefer deep dish and doughy. Right off the bat I didn’t love the smell. Thankfully I reserved judgement until I tasted it. The sauce is amazing. A sweet and cheesy combination that I would love to eat over everything. The crust on the cheese was very crisp and the slice was greasy. I didn’t like the “burnt” crust taste and the cheese left an after taste that wasn’t pleasant. The greasy cheese also made the pizza very chewy. Overall I gave that one a 4.7 because it isn’t my style. The deep dish was MUCH better. Love the sauce, cheese tasted great, and it wasn’t greasy at all. I did not like the waxy taste of the bacon so I won’t get that topping again. Not a lot of flavor in the crust but with that sauce you don’t need it. I gave that slice a 7.9. Very good pie! Price was much better than what I am used to in Chicago. Service was fair. I’d certainly get another deep dish from here and is the best place I’ve tried in the region so far. I would put this right under Nancy’s and Giordano’s and higher than Lou’s and Gino’s for me.
