Ordered the plain cheese pizza and garlic knots This is one outstanding pizza. The homemade crust was cooked perfectly and allowed for easy holding and when biting, the cheese stayed on the crust. Delicious! This sauce is light and only adds to the pure satisfaction. I highly recommend A Slice of New York pizza!

Ignore the fact that this pizza is on the ground. I brought it too my uncle and he sat down on the driveway to eat some. Lol Didn’t have any drinks for my very salty pie. THE GOOD I loved the stringy cheese and the charred crust and overall crunchiness of the pie. Pepperoni had a premium that I have trouble describing. THE BAD This pie suffered from one two things. It’s very salty and the sauce is a tad bit too sweet for my liking. I’ve had pizza from all over the US. This was the first pie I ever had that salt content was issue. It’s an good pizza and it’s definitely better than a lot of the competition around. But definitely not the best. My girlfriend gave it a 9. (Rookie score) Uncle gave it a 6.6 I give it a

Quite literally one of the best Pizza spots in PGH/Western Pa area. Fresh ingredients with phenomenal taste! No flop, terrific undercarriage and crunch! It’s a knockout! Keep it up Sean and A Slice of New York team! Dave, get your ass here!

Today was the first day I tried this pizza and I have to say, it’s the best around in the area. Quality through and through.

Hands down the best Pizza in this area! Only a very few other places that can compete but they aren’t close to me. Only true pizza aficionados will appreciate what Sean puts into his craft.

The pizza is phenomenal! The crust, sauce and cheese all blend perfectly together! The plain cheese and pepperoni pies are amazing! The Sicilian is hands down the best I have ever had!

Can’t find a better, more authentic pizza around. This has definitely become my go to for pizza since they opened a couple years ago.

Pictured is their white pie, but above all- their cheese pie is NY authentic. Anywhere else claiming to be in the Pittsburgh area is lying & the owner Sean himself is from NYC. Great flavor, stretch, and the dough is to die for. You won’t regret trying it and they sell out fast!

Ordered the Sicilian for today. Have had a few of the New York style pizzas before. We prefer the New York style, don’t get me wrong Sicilian was good, however the hype really gave me higher expectations. Overall really enjoy the pizza and will regularly get. Great service and great people.

I’ve had enough pizza in my lifetime to know what quality is. What A Slice Of NY did was take something from the quality NY Pizza, make it their own, and improve upon it. They really did. You have the perfect amount of crisp and chew, VERY quality sauce the cheese is on point. The fresh basil adds to the flavor. I’ve been there a few times. The only reason I didn’t score it a 10 is because the first time I had it, it was one of the best slices I’d ever had, and then he improved on it somehow. The owner. Sean, works tirelessly and passionately perfecting his craft. The pizza is truly made with Love and so fresh. If you’re in the area, You need to live there. If you’re passing by, you have to make a stop. If you’re a pizza connoisseur, you MUST get there. This pizza would rock Portnoy’s world. He better get there.

Best looking pizza I’ve reviewed in a really long time. The crust in definitely NY style like the name says. It had both chew and crunch which is exactly how I like it. I thought the cheese was really good, but the sauce was an afterthought. There isn’t very much on it and it didn’t have much of a distinct taste when I could taste it. The fresh basil on the pizza doesn’t do much for the taste, but it sure does look fancy! This is one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Westmoreland County, and with even more sauce it could compete with the rest of the Western PA.

Not my style of pizza but this is very good. A lot of flavor with a little bit of a spicy sauce. The crust is very crunch, a bit too crunchy for me, but it does not taste burnt at all. Very impressed.

Crust! .. is the thought I have throughout eating this pie. It’s hard to explain the texture but it’s a perfect mix of crunch and chew and it’s by far the highlight of the pizza and very unique. The sauce is very light and doesn’t stand out. Cheese is good but like the sauce, its solid and will make you happy but nothing incredible, either. The overall pizza could have benefited from a few more minutes more in the oven. Altogether a really good pizza but it needs a little more than the crust to make it into the 8’s but I highly recommend you try it.. there’s something unparalleled in its texture!

Solid New York slice. Little generic on the sauce but overall good pizza

The round sicilian is very interesting. About 1 inch thick crust, yet holds shape and is light and fluffy. Reminds me of a Pizza Hut bread stick but as a whole crust with no disrespect at all. Sauce is hearty, mild undertones of some sort of wine. Mild on the tang. Mozzarella cheese on top was soft and meshed well with the crust, parm for a little kick. Would probably order meatballs on it next time. All in all, had a home cooked feel and taste to it and was very good. Cool option to mix it up from the typical pizza around here.

Definitely a different type of pizza. Thin, chewy at the end and kind dry. Does have some flop, fold & greasiness. Big slices.Pepperoni is definitely the perfect kind. Fresh ingredients. The pizza is unique in it’s own way. I’d have to say bc of its unique way it’s hard to put in a certain type of pizza class. It’s definitely one slice type piece and maybe a good football pizza. It’s worth the try for it’s unique style.

Thin crust, fresh ingredients. Only complaint need more sauce. Daughter loved the garlic knots

Fantastic pizza bag with your perfect amount of sauce cheese and toppings. Different taste in your mouth and I loved it. Way different than your typical Pittsburgh pizza. I highly recommend
