If there is such a thing as healthy pizza, this is it! Most Sicilian style pies are heavy, with chewy dough and excessive cheese. At Slice Squared, the sourdough crust is crispy golden brown on the bottom but airy in the center. The fresh and light tasting sauce is the star, with just the right amount of tang. The mozzarella, basil and olive oil round out the palate. I order mine with half sausage. This is the sliced versus crumbled kind and cooks resembling tiny cups, just like pepperoni. It has just the right amount of spicy ‘kick’. This new Slice of New York location is a welcome addition to downtown and the Southside. The original Murrysville location specializes in their thin sliced David Portnoy rated 8.2 style. This Squared location offers a very unique Sicilian style. It is spectacular! P.S.
