Pizza Review
Could go head to head with any other NYC style slice in the city. Only a step behind the legends (JOB, DiFara, etc). No flop, Hearty crust. Sauce has a smooth flavor - not punchy, but definitely flavorful. Really comes out on the Sicilian. Cheese is a cut above most others. Seriously top notch ingredients all around (those are preserved kalamata olives on the Sicilian not canned bullshit). Execution is very well thought out. Interesting topping choices (i.e. sliced porchetta), but the plain stands on its own. Literal hole-in-the wall owned by the highly regarded fancy Italian place across the street. Truly a hidden gem.l and easily the best anti-Neapolitan place in the surrounding ‘hoods. Worth a visit if you’re at Barclays, skip Homeslice...as long as you don’t mind eating at one of 3 bar seats or the benches out front.
