Al Dente Pizzeria & Restaurant

Traditional “football pizza,” medium thickness on the dough, heavy on the cheese & sauce. No floppage at all, fantastically firm, decent crisp & very tasty dough that leads to a spectacularly crispy & crunchy crust. The sauce is sneaky outstanding, super sweet, a little tangy, it grows on you with each bite tasting better than the last, definitely carries the entire pie. The sauce ratio is balanced well with the cheese which is a little thickish, a tad oily, but has a nice melty, oozy flow, certainly better than basic. Overall, this is another humming fastball with some movement, catching corners on the plate. No doubt a terrific neighborhood pie, any-day-of-the-week type pizza. Despite exceeding expectations, it’s not really a travel pie but it’s about as good as local gets and left me pleasantly surprised.

Massive slices that pack a Bud Crawford size punch. Really flavorful with great crisp. Sauce to cheese ratio was on point as well. Dough had good taste but the crust was dense and dried out. Not enough air pockets. The grease held it back from a higher score. Overall good pizza that could score higher

Al Dente ... kinda. The middle of the pie is more chewy than I expected after the first bites around the edges. Very flavorful, very thick layer of cheese. A bit too greasy is the draw back.

Good crisp, pretty greasy, and the sauce was not very flavorful on the plain slice. Grandma slice was better but still pretty average.

Good size, VERY greasy. Crunch is on point but not a lot of flavor from sauce. Cheese is so-so.

Perfectly crispy with no flop. Sauce is on point, very tasty. Crust is solid, not doughy like other places.

Awesome. Crispy, not that much by flop, Cheese to sauce ratio is on point. Very flavorful and fresh. Crust was the right amount of crunch. Like really good Italian bread.
