Al's New York Cafe

Al is awesome. The pizza special is great and the kids love it after school. I give it a 7.4 because I grew up going pizzeria Regina and Santarpios in Boston. And Hartford and NYC ….by California standards it’s an 8.2

Initially thought this pizza was the best ever. Then I went back the next day sober and lowered my score to a 6.2. Definitely a drunk type slice

Decent crust and flavor. Not terrible not stellar. Going middle of the road pizza.

It’s just ok , very greasy the crust is slightly better then average. the bottom was kinda wet so there’s no crispness. Very average

Seems to be a common topic, NY flop and cheese/toppings slide right off. Being a New Yorker now living in OC it’s been tough to find my east coast pizza. Basic pepperoni that had great flavor, but man something needs to be adjusted with crust or cook time etc.

Flavor lacking. Way too floppy no crisp on the bottom of the crust whatsoever. Toppings and cheese slid off as soon as I pulled the first slice out of the box.
