Pizza Review
Wow! Pleasant surprise! I guess I had somewhat low expectations; though Tulsa can throw it down with any midwestern city. This was a really GOOD pie, not phenomenal but really good, among the best I’ve had in a while. Pricey!! I wasn’t expecting to spend $25 on a 14” basic pie but oh well (they do sell by the slice so there’s that). That is probably the biggest criticism, you’re not leaving here with a bargain pizza, some of their fancy pies are close to $30! For a small/medium PIZZA! Speaking of the fancy pies, they have plenty and are VERY proud of them, citing the specific (special) ingredients and where they were sourced from. Blah blah blah🙄 other critique would be it’s a bit on the greasy side but I ordered my pizza with pepperoni so that didn’t help, I don’t mind grease anyway, we all can’t be as picky as Dave! Andolini’s is a small chain in Tulsa area so I would expect/hope they are consistent. About the pizza: I really liked the crust, had a good “yeasty” flavor. The sauce was the highlight for me, nice robust tomato flavor. The waitress said they make It in-house fresh daily. I can’t tell you how many pizzas I try that have NO flavor in the sauce! I’m going to remember the sauce here, not too sweet or savory, loved it. I haven’t checked but this might be the highest rated pizza I’ve had on this app. Just bring your wallet folks!
