I had high hopes when I got out of the car and smelled fresh cut basil. And the saw a “cash only sign” which is often the hallmark of a great old school pizza place. My hopes were dashed when the pizza arrived. Best description is that it’s the textbook definition of “mid”. Simply average at best across the board. Very little crust, cheese lacked flavor, tomato sauce was basically tomato paste out of an industrial sized can. Hard to believe the place has been around 80 years.

$15 for a large pie - love it. Solid stuff - real thin pie; sauce was rockin - nice balance between sweet and tang. Undercarriage was a big letdown - zero crisp whatsoever, just flop and like smooth on the bottom, honestly don’t know if I’ve ever had pizza like that. If not for that we could be talkin mid 7s. Bit greasy too

Was very good definitely the best pizza in Westbrook.

I may be a little bias since I grew up on it but good pizza, good sauce to cheese ratio, good crunch
