Less sauce and less cheese than Gerry’s. However, I thought the flavor was better. Both spots are great and I’m giving them the same score. If you want a more old school pie with less stuff on it, come here. If you want it still crispy but more juicy get Gerry’s. Cheese was slightly greasy. More sauce would help this pie. Both great spots. 8.4

Not quite as good as Gerry’s but gooood pizza none the less! Sauce is king around these parts!!

Best pizza. Can’t go wrong with the extra sweet sauce and thick crust. I have not encountered a pizza better than this one.

Best I’ve had in the area. Could have been cooked longer but they were swamped and I don’t think the ovens could keep up.

Gotta say, not a fan of the sweet sauce, but the regular is 🔥🔥🔥. Crispy, crust has good flavor and shows it’s been aged properly. Sauce was not visible, but defiantly tastable. No flop, and for the price is what elevated the score for me. $10 for a (small 6 slice) great pie is an excellent deal. Will come back again in a heartbeat!

Stopped in here today. Asked the staff if they were there when Dave was. They were, had no idea who he was. Pizza is awesome! I got the sweet sauce, worth the 8 hour trip

This is my jam right here. Sweet sauce with sweet peppers. Thin and crispy with great flavor. Just about as good as it gets

I got the original sauce but I was recommended to get the “Sweet” sauce. It is a phenomenal pizza nonetheless!

Found myself in Wilkes Barre and always wanted to come try the pizza in the area. They have a couple different styles around here that arent really found anywhere else. You got this thin pie with the sauce on top served at Angelo’s Pizzeria and Gerry’s (Brothers) and then you got a bunch of pizzerias slinging tray pizza in Old Forge which i’ll probably try tomorrow. As for Angelo’s, i read a lot of reviews, and the consensus was that Dave fucked up when he didnt opt for their “Sweet Sauce”, so thats what i decided to get. It was a really good pie. Thin, crispy, and crackely crust with a nice amount of character. The ratios of dough, cheese, and sauce, were spot on for me. The pie wasnt greasy at all. It had zero flop, and a nice amount of salt to the cheese. The outer crust was super light and cracker-like. The only thing i’d do different the next time, is get the regular sauce. It was good, but a little sweet for my liking. It was so sweet that it almost tasted like a dessert pizza. In Dave’s review, he said that the regular sauce was pretty sweet, and that he couldnt imagine how sweet the “sweet sauce” must be. I should of took the hint and got the regular sauce. I do tend to like a slightly sweet sauce, but not so sweet that it tastes like straight sugar. Wish i was in town longer and had time to try all the spots!
