Angelo's Pizzeria

Good pizza but I have to disagree with a lot of the reviews. It’s a good pizza but it’s different in a lot of ways. It has a medium thin crust but a tall layer of cheese puts this right on the line of being a pie. Not like a thin crust NYC at all. The hour on a Sunday is an hour but it was worth the experience. Heard from a handful of people that this was the best in Philly but I don’t think it live up to the hype. Don’t think that this is a 9 pizza. Solid 8 but upon first bite, I was a little disappointed. It’s a solid pizza. Flavor is good. Undercarriage was perfect and sauce was good but not life changing. There is a hint of sour dough (guess it’s a Philly thing) but when I was leaving town I also grabbed a pizza from Pizzata. I ate one slice of this pizza and 3 from Pizzata on the way home. That alone says it all.
