We have “pizza Fridays” at my office, and since the Corner Slice closed, we now get our pizza at Anthony’s. I actually make a better pizza at home in a conventional oven, baking my pies on a steel plate. Their crust is not great, and it’s almost as if it’s made without yeast. The cheese and sauce are mediocre, as well. It’s a shame, because the service is always friendly, and it’s in a prime location. Charring the edges, and the bottom does not necessarily make for a good pizza. I feel like offering to give them my dough recipe if they would promise to use it.
