Crisp solid pizza

Ok Florida chain but not chain pizza. Coal fired. Went with the Margherita. Great crust and sauce.

One of the more unique tasting pies in the area. From the homemade tasting pasta style tomato sauce that is on the top of the cheese to the excellent crisp. This one is a winner while somehow being a chain. Also zero flop...at all.

I know, I know, I am the last person on earth that has never made it to Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza. Worst is, they are Fort Lauderdale based and I came to the Clearwater one for a review! 1. They have 62 locations, with a connection to the ever popular Runway 84 ( which is under a 3 million dollar renovation), the lively night spot of Lauderdale. 2. Pizza is cooked in the Coal Fire oven at 900°. You can see the bottom char on one of the pictures. 3. This pizza screams out total freshness. Very well made with real quality ingredients. 4. The sauce is on top of the cheese rather than evenly dispersed under it. Not my favorite style but was super amazing anyway.

Ehhh ok! Not really. Not much to talk about. Little cheese, little sauce, little taste, along with a terrible crust that had no crunch at all. Very disappointed. The cauliflower pizza was a little better.

Aright Frankie...Anthony’s loaded it up with pepperoni, but besides that, the pizza left a lot to be desired. Just very doughy and not sauced or cheesed very well. Crust didn’t have the good crunch you’d expect with coal fired. One and done and this pie.

I would expect more out of an establishment that makes the effort to cook in a coal fired environment. Nothing is fresh and crust is chewy.

Did not get the gold standard but we got our go to ricotta and meatball. It’s not a bad pizza. Nice and crispy. With the toppings we got it does flop and you do lose toppings. But taking that out it is good. Sauce had good taste but had chunks of tomato which I don’t like. I give it a 6.8 and that’s a review

Tried this pizza shop based on high scores...turns out they’re way too high! This is a coal fired pie. The crust was crisp with a nice coal fired finish. That’s prob best thing I can say about this pie. Not enough cheese and the sauce was chunky and not evenly dispersed. Dough was floury in some spots. Not too much flop. Very expensive for what you get. By far best part of experience were the wings, they’re actually really great! Prob would not go out of my way to get this pie again.

As I sit here and score this pizza this place has an amazing score of 8.1 on the one bite app. Now I will shoot you straight and tell you that this pizza is not an 8.1 because I would not travel for this pie. The pizza has some crisp to it but the sauce is a bit bland. The cheese is decent but not spectacular. I think a 7.1 is more than a fair score.

If you don’t like well done crust let them know, they will accommodate. Good tasting sauce-good cheese

Well done as far as cooked. Good taste. Not hands down best, but, a good coal fire pizza.

Half Paulie’s Pie (6.7) & half Eggplant Marino (7.1) for an average of 6.9. A little under cooked.
