Anthony's Pizza

These slices came from a pie that literally came out of the oven when I walked in, I saw the guy take it out. The slice was airy, light and had a nice sauce and the red pepper I sprinkled made it even better. This now takes the bronze medal for my city of Mt Vernon, ahead of Pizza King and only behind Joe's and Johnny's!! Good stuff!

Very crispy with an excellent crunch. Crust is crunchy too.

Decent but nothing spectacular

Not bad but not great. The slice has a lot of flop but held up after a minor fold. The cheese was stringy, which I didn’t care for. The crust, while nice and thin, had a burnt taste to it. Bring it is so thin I think they left it in the oven too long. This wouldn’t be my go-to pizza if I lived in the area but it’s edible.

Best pizza in Mount Vernon, NY. Special thin is the best. It is an original recipe from 1962 and the house pie slices are the best. Doesn’t get any better.

Holy flop Batman! As you can tell from the photo, I had to angle the slice upwards in order to keep the cheese from sliding off. And oh boy, that cheese was trying hard. Have you ever been so drunk that when you fall over you and desperately held on to the blades of grass to keep yourself from falling off the face of the earth? That cheese is you and the pizza is the grass. With every bite, the grease gushes our into your mouth. The sauce is salty and doesn’t have any tang....one bite, everybody knows the rules.5.2
