Anthony's Restaurant

This location on the Scranton Carbondale Highway rotates a lot over the years but hopefully Anthony’s sticks. I showed up early and they hooked me up getting it out to me early too. The look of this pie is great, pretty thin, and has the perfect NY style fold. I didn’t love the taste/flavor though which is a bummer, reminds me of places like a little pizza heaven that are primarily an Italian restaurant (pasta and other entrees) and a pizza place second. Crust could use more crisp and has a bit of a dusty flour texture. Also has an old picture of a delish looking square pizza on their facebook page but doesn’t sell anymore l.

First look is that it’s gonna have a great crisp, big flop, crisp on the crust is OK, very cheesy pizza overall, definitely could’ve used a couple more mins in the oven, but overall not a bad slice

Alright, Frankie. Solid straight forward pie. Not getting a lot of wood fired influence, and could use a little more crisp, but good.

Great crisp, zero flop, good crunch on the bite.
