Apizza!

Fresh ingredients and tasty sauce. Definitely not like New Haven style . Loved the charred crust.

We were passing through town and did a quick google search for pizza. APizza had great reviews so we decided to stop in. It’s a small shop with great atmosphere, and friendly staff. We really enjoyed that the pizza is made right in the dining room and you can see the fresh ingredients. Most importantly the pizza was amazing. The perfect crisp on a thin crust bursting with flavor. I would highly recommend if you’re in the area to stop by and grab a pie, you won’t be disappointed.

Great char. Great undercarriage. Hard to understand why the crust wasn't crispier. Had an unexpected flop but taste wise was absolutely delicious. Fresh mozzarella, san marzano tomato pizza sauce. Fresh filled cannoli was seriously a 9.2 cannoli. Highly recommend Apizza!

Apizza it is not (coal fired New Haven pizza), however artisan pizza yes (quality ingredients, assume sourdough pizza crust) when you walk in fresh bread is on the counter for purchase. If you dine in they’ll bring fresh bread to the table. Ordered an Italian salad was excellent and fresh.

Probably the highlight of the area, but I don’t agree with the reviews saying this is comparable to John’s or Pepe’s etc. It’s good, but didn’t blow me away.

Very impressed with everything about this place. Plain pizza had very nice under carriage, sauce & cheese tasted great. Best pizza I’ve had in this area. Italian bread & salads also terrific. Nice atmosphere & great service. Will definitely be back. In my opinion……best in the area!

Light and fluffy dough, but the sauce on this pie is what elevates it. Does not have the crisp of a ny slice or the char of a New Haven pie, but this pie has fresh, flavorful ingredients and is made with care. Worth checking out

You can witness the passion as this guy chefs up some fire pies. Excellent stuff. Delicious sauce, tasty cheese, perfect char. Surprised by the tiniest bit of flop. Highly recommend

Quite possibly better than Sally's in New haven. Has a different vibe but by God it may very well beat it. One of the best pizzas in existence

Zero flop, great char on the first slice of this.As i get further into the pizza, though, the flop starts permeating. Excellent crisp nonetheless; marinara has a great zing to it. Fresh mozz with some pecorino Romano cheese really brings up the profile for this. Very similar to John’s of Bleecker in terms of its build and cheese to sauce ratio. This is really good pizza Franklyn, probably among the best in the area. That’s a fucking review Frank!!

After a whirlwind pizza tour amongst all the city’s best (John’s of Bleeker, Rubirosa, etc etc), Apizza in New Paltz wins it all. I’m reluctant to even write this review because I feel quite lucky to be able to get a table any time I want in the restaurant. My suspicion is that this place will eventually be a perennial in the conversation with Sally’s, Pepe’s, John’s et all. Favorite pizza in all of NY.

This is real deal, New Haven style apizza in the Hudson Valley of NY. If you like thin, crisp, light, flavorful coal oven pizza, you'll love this place.
