The truer rating is below an 8. All things considered, they’re close. So we got two pies, one regular with 1/2 pep, and a White Pizza.
For the plain pie 1/2 pep: The cheese and sauce are decent, but the crust is a bit off. Thicker than it needs to be and pretty bland. But oddly, every few bites and especially nearer the crust, there’s an interestingly fabulous taste. No need for the shaved Parmesan cheese either. ? Doesn’t add anything and might actually be disguising that really good taste on the few bites that got me excited.
The white pizza pie, not so much; had garlic but again, crust bland and a tad bit “cardboardy” .
Decent enough to be mid 7’s but not in the 8 category.
Kudos to Percy, our server. A delightful person who handled the restaurant very well for being the only server on on a somewhat crowded Saturday late afternoon. A 9.1 for Percy.
