Closer resembles a New York slice. Has a little bit of flop, but it’s tasteful. The undercarriage has some structure and crisp, but not overpowering. The crust was crunchy on the outside, with a warm and soft inside. Cheese and sauce are in a healthy ratio. Not too much cheese, less than Mary Angela’s. There was hint of a tasteful tang with the first few bites that intrigue you to bite further.
For Richmond standards, this is a good pizza. I hold it to similar quality to Mary Angela’s. Would return and recommend!
