First, there is no way a by-the-slice pie can survive having multiple locations open up in NYC and sustain business while being rated under a 7.0. Sure, argue that the NY locales have more local competition and will be more a product of their environment but that doesn’t tell the tale Getting to it: crust is crisp, light, and has a good pack of flavor. Good grease to crust hold ratio. Cheese packs a punch, appropriately sauced. There’s little to complain about other than a slight chewiness at base of crust and a bit of counter hangout flavor. Seven nine.

quite a bit of flop since the slice is so big but crispier than expected. flavor is good, crust is a little chewy, and it's super heavy - a bit lighter and this would be in the 7s.

I got the Sicilian. Very good

Nice charred and crispy crust with out being burnt. Tangy sauce but pepper and Parmesan needed. Some flop.

Poor attempt at a NY slice. Sauce lacks tang and flexibility. Decent under carriage, but still super floppy. Crust lacks flavor. Overall not great

Good under carriage, but still some flop, very crispy, but not burnt, tangy sauce, no grease (could use a little), but it’s like they ran out of cheese. This could be in the 7s with less sauce and more fully cooked cheese and no basil leaves.

The artichoke slice is the best slice in Berkeley hands down

I’ve known Artichoke Pizza from NYC. I tried Artichoke’s name sake, the Artichoke pizza. The crust had a beautiful crunch, the sauce was very buttery with a light artichoke flavor to finish. Solid pizza. 6.4

Highly overrated but served its purpose which was to nourish a few hammered post-win cal fans.

Pretty good slice. Crisp

$5 slice of cheese pizza. Has a nice crisp. Tossed my slice in the oven, it came out NOT hot enough for the cheese to be melted?! Three bites in, I’m eating cold pizza. Cold pizza is good when your hungover and only Budweiser is in your gut, but not in this case. Bad sauce and remove the expired crusty greens. That’s a review.
