Pizza Review
One slice...Everyone should know the rules when it comes to ordering pizza at artichokes. Huge slice! And they should be for the price tag. I may be a little biased being that I know and love them since their very first Establishment in Staten Island. On to the pizza Frankie. The slice is loaded with a quality cheese and great tangy sauce. No New York flop here even though the slice is huge and has a lot of weight to it... topped of large pieces of (basiligol) if your an Italian New Yorker... (yes I know it’s spelt basilico in Italian, spelling police, but it’s not in nyc Italian).. The key to the rest of the slice is the nice smoky and crispy crust... no sogginess here, all crunch.... if I had to find a downside I’d would say the dough is a little thick. I know it’s to support the rest of the hearty slice but it is what it is! So I give it an 8.9.... not a rookie score... I want to give it over a 9 but I believe both Johns of Bleecker and L&B and Denino’s deserve that dubious honor! Salute!
