Artichoke Basille's Pizza

I visit Artichoke every time I’m in the city, and always go with the Artichoke pizza. It’s not traditional, and you might have to fork and knife it, but it’s one of the best in the city. It’s a bit more price wise at $7.50 a slice but it’s worth it.

“Staten Island” slice is great

Artichoke slice was good, regular slice was decent. Overall way too big, salty, sauce heavy - not an amazing experience

Banged this slice at like 2am, nice flavourful slice but bit too doughy and sauce heavy for my liking.

Eh, middle of the pack. The size of the slice makes it a good value but cash only under $15 is ridiculous. Either be cash only or take card no matter what. 6.1.

Huge slices! worth the $6 a slice

A bit too heavy on the cheese and sauce and was thiccccc but the undercarriage was still surprisingly crispy and cooked really well. Can see this being in the 8s for others.

Damn near no cheese

Massive slice. Good sauce. Very heavy. Cheese distribution wasnt the best. Could have used more

Great sized slice with unique flavor, doesn’t miss.

Fresh ingredients but the slice was a little discombobulated; first off, it was huge, but was also oily and the crust was breaking off in different sections. All in all, however, the quality was good, landing this slice in the seven-range.

The mozzarella to top it off really solidified the solid score!

Artichoke pizza slice. -A bit of flop but that's expected as you have 5 lbs of Artichoke Alfredo sauce on a thick piece of dough. Hope you bought your bib because this is a messy one. - Cheese to Sauce:. Overwhelming amount of mozzarella plus Artichoke plus secret ingredients sauce. Even with the thick dough, it feels like a 5 lb weight. You only need to order one slice . -Taste: An explosion of flavors. It really is savory and your mind will literally try to analysis the sauce makeup and yet, your mouth cannot stop eating it. You need to ear this with a fork and knife. With the nice charcoal on the bottom with the regular crust, I will gladly take people here who want this time of Pizza. 

Apparently this place has fallen downhill according to the ratings but the 1st Avenue location is the best and you must get the pepperoni, meat lovers and Margherita. Tons of flavor, big slices with a non traditional sweeter sauce. Great flavor profile even if there is a little flop and clumpy sections of tomato. Top 10 in the city.
