Assaggio's Pizzeria Ristorante

Ok so this place came recommended by folks in my neighborhood. I was told this was “The closest thing to NY pizza”. Well, I’ve never been to NY, but I can say I wasn’t too impressed. Looks like it was hastily made, without any real care. The crust was ok, decent crunch complimented by a soft warm interior. But that’s about all I liked. It’s not a bad slice by any means, but it’s not something I would order again. Definitely needs some work, maybe I got it on an off day, but a good pizzeria will take pride in their products 24/7. The sauce had an odd flavor, of bad, just different. I can’t describe it.
