I actually think Pres got this one right. This place is a hole in the wall. Only a few tables, many layers of paint, and some random stuff on the walls. I dig it. I got a “The Pepperoni” and cheese (not shown) slice. There’s something about the minimalist approach to NY pizza that makes it great, and these guys got it down. The perfect balance of flavors from the light marinara, fresh mozzarella, basil shreds, and pepperoni. It only had a little flop, but crispy enough to hold its own while folded. It’s these little places that deserve the praise over the touristy big names. If you’re in East Village, this one is worth a stop.
