Good undercarriage, good flavor. Solid pie.

Solid pizza, thin and crispy with good taste to the cheese and sauce. The lack of a crust leaves a little to be desired especially if you’re used to NYC pizza. That’s why I dropped it from a 7.8 to 7.6.

Taste like freezer pizza

Excellent thin crust. Good crisp throughout the pizza. Good sauce too. Little bit greasy but the cornmeal crust was a big hit and getting good crisp (even in middle pieces) was the kicker for me. A well deserved 8 pizza.

Loved the cornbread crust and vibe here. Great looking pie. This one got better 15 minutes after leaving the oven.

Maybe Chicago style bar pizza isn’t my thing. Or maybe it’s the corn mill crust. Or the basic sauce and/or cheese that’s just regular degular. Mid-level pizza. Bonus points for the 70s dark smoke room vibe inside though.

Probably the one of the best thinner crust options in Illinois. The crust is a big score swing for a lot of people but nevertheless the pizza is well put together with a firm crust, nice tangy but not overbearing sauce and solid cheese. This is a unique pie that even if you don’t like the crust will be a solid bite

What an amazing place. I loved everything about!! The location, the building, the inside, the decor, how you order. Everything was so throwback and a classic old school pizza joint. The pizza is tavern style and pretty good. This is not my favorite style and I am not real big on cornmeal crust. However, for this style pizza it was really good. This is a must try location not only for the pizza but to enjoy the atmosphere.

Unique cornmeal dusted dough and crispy wavy crust. Undercarriage is as thin as can be but is still sturdy with no flop. Solid combination of meat, sauce, and cheese.

Dave was too generous with a 7.8. This is closer to a 6.0 for folks from the northeast who know good pizza. This might be great in Chicago but not New Haven, CT.

The crust will either make it or break it for you

Pretty good pizza. Light on the sauce was the down fall. Has a lot of crisp with the interesting corn crust they have. The cheese is very good as well. I’m going 7.8, not bad at all definitely worth a drive.

Excellent way to end boys day. Perfect crust, nice sauce, & great cheese. Absolutely love it.

Crust wasn’t bad. The sauce had a good tang and the cheese was real good, I’d definitely come again…

A lot of cornmeal in the bottom

Real flavorful sausage. Dough reminds me a little of Home Run Inn but better. Super thin but it holds the toppings well. The crimped crust gave it a nice crunch that I really liked. Just outside of the top tier of Tavern Styles for me.
