Barnyard Wood Crafted Pizza

When I walked into the restaurant, it actually smelled good and the huge pizza oven looks impressive as if these people know what they are doing, but they don’t. I ordered a margherita pizza which seemed like the perfect pie to order from that oven. I knew immediately when I saw tomato slices on it that it wasn’t going to be great. Then I tasted it… I don’t know who needs to hear this but pizza is a savory dish, but the sauce was sweet. Ffs. The sweetness was so overwhelming that I, for the first time in my life, put salt on my pizza. I drowned it in parmesan cheese. Red pepper flakes. Still the sweetness could not be tamed. I couldn’t taste the crust, sauce or mozzarella , only sugar. It didn’t even taste like regular sugar — it was like a sugar alternative from the 80s coating my mouth. Afterwards, I had to go get snacks at the gas station to try to erase the taste from my mouth. I wasn’t gonna write a review at all but three hours later I’m still tasting sweet pizza in my mouth. You’ve been warned.

This one is the hot hen. I give the pizza a 5.7. It needed a better sauce and 1 more minute in the oven but the Poutine was a solid 8.5.

Delicious pizza all around, could have used a couple extra minutes and it would have had better structure but that’s on me for not ordering it crispy. Also got a Hot Hen Buffalo Chicken and it was incredible 8.5/10 if you like buffalo chicken pizzas check it out. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here.

First time for leaving a one bite review for a pizza place, this was the first from on our trip to Vermont. We went with the traditional half cheese half pepperoni, the pizza was cooked in a circular open wood oven that was located in the back left of the restaurant. The pizza it self came out looking amazing, but definitely was worth the drive to try had a very good taste to it along with a crisp that I personally enjoy!

This pizza just keeps getting better and better. As a CT native, this is hands down the best pizza that Vermont has to offer. This place has the best ranch dressing in the ENTIRE country. Those who try it will not disagree. Blown away. Keep it up Barnyard 💪🏼

the wood fired taste is on point

Sweet sauce. Spicy pepperoni. Blends together and money!

The toppings are really good but the issue was the crust. It was really soft on the bottom. Weird for a brick oven pizza. That is what killed the score.

Needs more salt, less oil, cook it 5 more minutes. Nice and thin pizza dough.

Very reminiscent of a Papa John's slice, but with a little better crisp and less grease. Edible, not special.

Not a bad flop... very yummy pizza really good service great crafty pizzas great prices too

Crust was a lil doughy, had a 1/2-3/4 flop. Cheese didn’t run. Not much to the sauce.
