Basal Pizza

Thick pizza but very light. Sauce has a little spice to it. Cute spot, nice staff. Kind of a stoner vibe.

Asked for the pizza well done, and it still came out pretty floppy. The crust is definitely a highlight with a sourdough taste. The plum margarita sauce could’ve had more flavor, but wasn’t bad. Would’ve liked to see the mozzarella a little more toasted. Overall go here again, and it’s a decent spot for pizza made in Iowa.

This is easily one of the best pizza spots in the state. If there was a solid crunch then this place is an easily mid 8’s.

Pizza was horribly undercooked and could see raw dough. Flop was horrible. Flavors not that great because it was undercooked. Sad pizza

Amazing crust, sauce, and cheese!

To quote El Pres, this would be a perfect date night pizza. The sauce was a little watery but the taste was impressive and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The crust was good but not crispy enough. They could have used more sauce around the edge and not as much in the middle. I also tasted some of the flour on the bottom of the pizza. The service was a little slow over the noon hour but overall it was an above average pizza at a fair price.
