Beggars Pizza

The only thing worth reviewing is the Box. Lay it on thick my ass. It's impossible to make a slice this terrible. But somehow Beggars achieved that goal. Take a few hours of research and some sampling. You can make a better slice.

South side classic. A solid Beggars slice at a White Sox game is the best

There's almost no crust to it

Individual (7”) sausage and pepperoni. Cheese had a nice saltiness and burnt-on-the-edges flavor.the highlight of this one was the sausage, gigantic meaty deliciousness. Crust was firm enough to hold all the weight of the toppings, although it wasn’t a standout crust flavor-wise. ~$12

Bad

A mediocre slice. The Italian sausage is pretty solid. Cheese is a bit heavy and crust is nothing to write home about.

Not bad. Think mine was left under the heat lamp too long bc cheese is tougher.

Alright you're probably wondering how I can rate a pizza chain 5 stars, but hear me out. This pizza is not for the faint of heart. Their slogan "We lay it on thick" is no joke. If you like a ton of cheese and toppings, this is your spot. What I like most about Beggars is that there is not another comparable pizza out there that I've had. The sauce is a light non-sweet blend with an ample amount to compliment the thickness of the toppings. The execution of the cooking process needs to be perfect to hold it all together, because these slices are heavy. When I picked up the box, I could have bet they got my order wrong and ordered a deep dish. No, their thin crust pizza is that "thick". The crust is crunchy and firm enough to support the toppings. Surprisingly, it somehow avoids the assumed sogginess, and doesn't fall apart while eating. Sausage is chunk style, pepperoni is standard, both cooked under the cheese. Don't falsely believe Beggars is just another chain; they are the real deal with a quality pie. Excuse me now while I nap this off...
