Huge slices are usually just a gimmick to sell less than stellar pizza. And while this pie isn’t great, it’s not nearly as bad as you might think. This is the NJ equivalent to the NYC dollar slice as far as quality goes, not price. The dough is super soft, like a dollar slice, with thick, doughy crust. The cheese is pretty standard, a generic blend that isn’t terrible. However, the sauce is surprisingly tangy and very solid, the one thing saving this pie from dipping below a 7. This joint is a staple for the after hours crowds piling in after the bars close because on a drunk pizza scale, this is a 9. But if you’re looking for a sober slice in Hoboken, this is decent; but you could definitely do better and a lot worse.
