Bertollis River Pizza

Slice is available at frank's deli. (next door sharing a wall *and kitchen) I have reviewed most of the places that have slices in the area. This is really the only one that has flavor and a distinction. Easily the best slice in Op/RF

Last night I made the trip to Bertolli's in River Forest. The crust was super thin and the outside pieces held up well. The middle pieces collected a lot of the grease and were pretty messy. The sauce had a fresh tomato taste with oregano and pepper. The pizza was light on the sauce and I wish that it had more. The cheese had a good flavor and a slight buttery taste. The sausage had a mild flavor and was just ok. It was a decent pizza. If I went back I would definitely order extra sauce and I would probably switch it over to pepperoni.

The crust was good and the sauce was smooth.. The cheese/sauce ratio was way off. Too much cheese, I love cheese but this was rubbery and overcooked and came off the pizza like the cheese was it’s own dish. Also very greasy. I was excited to have pizza but this quickly got put in a save for later box. If I had a dog it would go to him.

Best pizza in River Forest hands down!

Sauce is tasty, good crisp, a little greasy but good pie.

Good flop, not the best but not bad either.

Best pizza in River Forest. Nice crust and perfect cheese to sauce ratio. Just take a look at that pie!
