Pizza Review
I really want to give this a 9 but i cant. This is a pizzeria thats owned by the same guy that slings the zah at Best Pizza in Brooklyn which Dave Portnoy has in his top 5 pizzerias that he’s reviewed, its like a 9.2 or something, so i had to try it. Don’t get me wrong, this is amazing pie, but if there would of been just a little more chew to the very outer crust, just the slightest bit more, instead of being a little on the dry and dare i say “too crispy” side, then this would of been a 9.1 for me. Despite the slightly too dry and crispy outer crust, anywhere that the dough was covered in sauce or cheese had the most perfect crisp that i love thanks to that wood fired oven. The light layer of cheeses tasted sharper than most places, slightly more pungent and i loved it. Tangy fresh sauce, and im an absolute sucker for Fresh Basil. Maybe a little much extra semolina on the bottom of the pie, mistly towards that outer edge, but it was fine and i almost didnt even me tion it. It had the most miniscule flop. Its a little expensive but you need to try it.
