Got half meatball and half cheese for my review good pizza

I’ve been eating here for over 30 years, usually get a sub. And if we do pizza it’s always a normal hand tossed. Never again, order the thin for probably the closest thing you can get to “New York” pizza in North West Michigan. Minimal grease. Crunch on the back end is good, the sauce at Big Al’s is always on point.

Good sauce but but on the greasy side.

Is it the perfect pizza to eat before going to the beach? That’s subjective. It does have some grease but, overall, this is a solid pie. Wonderfully kind staff, too. Not difficult to see how they’ve been in business for over 40 years.

Wow. It’s always fun when the hype lives up. I’ve been hearing about Big Al’s for a while and we made the drive from Grand Rapids to Manistee just for this pizza and it was worth it! Great Flavor with the crust, cheese, sauce everything. It was to greasy to get one of those really high scores. But it’s still great. Warning. The Chicago Deep Dish is not the traditional Deep Dish. More like the hand tossed pizza in a Chicago deep dish pan. But a MUCH crisper crust than the hand tossed. Try Big Al’s 8.1

A LOT of flop and also quite Greasy, but that said I still enjoyed this pizza it had quality ingredients and a ton of flavor it’s a (happy with your purchase pie) that’s a review

Ordered a hand tossed 18 inch..very greasy but crust had a nice crunch on the back end
