Logging in a placeholder review for Ozzy's Apizza which is not on the app for some reason, but is down the road from here. This was a slice from a pie cooked at Apizza Feast, run annually by A Taste of New Haven's Colin Caplan. Ozzy's has some excellent looking pizza on their Instagram. They may have one of the best, pure sauce tomato pies I've had yet. I do prefer grated cheese on mine, but I loved the meatiness of the tomato flavor in the sauce. Ozzy's was crutched by working their pies on Ooni's instead of their actual ovens. But charring of the slice was obviously there in what lacked in crispiness from a less temperamental oven. Appreciate that they came out here. You could tell they were running rough slinging pies all day.
