🍕 Balls Deep : signature meatballs with ricotta 💸 $21 (small = 6 slices) 💭 We came here a while back to take on their Balls Deep Pizza Challenge and that’s when we first fell in love with this place. After our Chicago Deep Dish Tour we can boldly say that Blackbird not only makes the best Deep Dish outside Chicago but inside Chicago as well. They load this baby with delicious meatballs and creamy ricotta and it’s got a beautiful corn meal crust that’s crunchy and holds everything perfectly without flopping over. It’s everything we imagine lasagna pizza to taste like; it’s heavenly. Heck, even their thin crust pizza is phenomenal. If you live in LA this is a MUST TRY pizza spot.

Balls Deep!! Deep dish with meatball topping. This was pretty tasty and high end Chicago style. But it wasn’t Chicago style. Sauce could’ve had more flavor. The crust and cheese were nice. If Angelenos think has got anything on Lou malnatis Chicago style, they no nothing. Still pretty solid.

This might be the best deep dish pizza in LA and is so loaded it’s one slice and done. I also was pretty into their thin crust which was crispy with a hint of olive oil.

A taste of chi town in LA. We ordered the small balls deep pizza. The cheese was dreamy and the crust was the perfect texture. After a salad and 2 slices each we both tapped out, so we took 2 slices home. We are definitely coming back for round 2

The name of the pizza was called the Balls Deep. Solid slice Lou Mal in Chicago is an 8.8 for me sooo Blackbird 8.3
