Pizza Review
Portnoy might kill me for this one... I finally got to check this place out and see what all the hype was about. I went with the "any toppings" option for my pizza and thought about how crazy I can get by piling stuff on after seeing the guy in front of me ask for pepperoni only, and they were very generous. I was mistaken. After listing off everything I wanted, they tended to really hold back on the toppings. Rookie move I guess. Next time I'll say one at a time until they're done putting it on. I digress. I got red sauce, mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. I had my pizza in front of me in just under 10 minutes (I think their promise is 8 minutes) so they were right on time. It was super hot and I burned my mouth. After waiting a bit, it had cooled down to eat. It is a lot for a single order! Luckily they give you to-go boxes to grab. Naturally though, I ate the whole thing. What I like most is the concept, value, convenience, and it being memorable. I only thought the sauce was a little blah and underwhelming, but everything else was fresh and delicious. The crust on the pizza I got was cooked enough, but not crispy. This really depends on how consistent the oven-watcher person is. I will definitely go back if I'm walking by for something quick instead of grabbing slices elsewhere.
