Looks heavy but it is really light, good quality tomato sauce, heavy on the parmesan, I like so to me its a plus, cheese is awesome, well crisp dough

Not sure what I am missing. Crust is pretty well done and cheese is ok. The sauce is thin and watery. This is not what is was expecting. May have gotten unlucky but the score is fair, maybe even a bit high. I don’t really like this pizza.

Wish they made it in this beautiful oven that was in front of us… but Airy crust, crunchy ronis. Still slammin

Great Detroit style, however small pie and expensive

Not the best pic but this was a great Detroit style pizza. I thought the pizza was very good, not my favorite style but ingredients and crust were on point. Honestly the restaurant/other items on the menu were better. recommend going and at least trying

Great air and not dense. Soft and light crust with good balance. Interesting flavors on top and the pie was cooked perfectly.

Great pizza. Light and crispy. They definitely started to put more sauce on the slices.

Pretty legit Detroit style spot. Got the Eggplant one, taste is really good, got some crisp (could use more), but it's a heavy sinker with the normal + ricotta. Took some time to come out, but we had an early lunch. Could go higher, perhaps one of the other pizzas would be better. Other food here is great too, Dan Dan noods 8.8

Not a gimmick place, legit good pizza. I’m a thin crust guy like Angeloni’s but was definitely vibing with it. Nice atmosphere in there. Sauce had just the right amount of tang and consistency. Not as heavy as some other Detroit style or Sicilian. Burnt cheese crust was perfect and good crunch. Corner slice ftw. Dave needs to try it, see how it stacks against the other Detroit places.

Nice place on the inside. I strongly recommend this place to those who like Detroit style pizza, I've come to realize it's not for me, but this is the best Detroit style I've had.

What can’t I say about this it lived up to the hype for me and I’m starting to love Detroit style. AmaZing taste. Crust buttery pillowy goodness caramelized crust to die for. The mozz is awesome but the fresh grated parm is what sets this off with the cheese. But bar none the sauce stands on its own, amazing taste and texture. For what this style is value is fantastic. For a new place this has garnered quite the reputation and deservedly so with a menu I’d like to come back for.

Not your typical NJ pizza, but it’s always good to try something different and Blue Steel offers just that. The Detroit style pizza is a thicker rectangular pie that offers a variety not normally experienced here in NJ. Loved the sauce, good cheese, and the charred edges of the crust were great. I must say it’s a very filling pie though. I knocked back 4 slices and was stuffed. Definitely recommend.

Eaten best with a fork and knife. cheese has a fantastic flavor. ordered 2 pizzas the middle of both slightly raw. It’s basically DiGiornos. honestly not a fan of the whole sauce on top of my pizza. it makes a mess. SCORE SAVER is the crust.

This Detroit-Style pizza is fantastic. Portnoy would give this detroit style above an 8 for its crispy crust and robust sicilian style sauce. It’s not overwhelming, light & fluffy dough. Honestly no downsides. Just get the classic.

Surprisingly light for being a thick crust. Relish overpowered the vodka sauce for me. Would get again with no relish. Inside is really cool, would definitely go back.
