Definitely one of the best pies Iv ever had. Little greasy, but we all loved it. Amazing crispy crust, and quality ingredients.

This is the review for the Whitestone. It’s incredible, ZERO flop, crisp undercarriage and my mouth was literally salivating as I was eating it. Definitely a great slice of pizza

GREAT STAFF, very accommodating and pleasant!Huge line … 45 minute wait for just above okay! This pizza was not the same crust as what Portnoy reviewed … which is the concern - they give him their best, he makes them popular, and they are rushing to keep customers from waiting too long. Prices are reasonable. So quality, cost, time … you only get two! If you live in the neighborhood, fine, but no way is this worth driving out of the way for.

First time ever in California so the first thing I did off the plane was try a new pizza place. This was easily the most and best reviewed on every platform and I see why. It was a perfect NY style. The undercarriage and crust are exactly what you would expect from New York. The cheese I thought tasted delicious and almost had a creamy undertone to it, which was a suprising but inviting taste. The sauce was good and combined the pizza together well, but it wasn’t good enough to push this pizza to the 9s. The employees and the prices here were top notch too. I was expecting to pay a lot of money for a large cheese pizza, but it was only $19. I’ve paid more than $20 for many large cheese pizzas in Pittsburgh, for much less quality. Check this place out!

Walked 45 minutes from Balboa Park for this pizza and it was so worth it! Amazing crust and perfect cheese and sauce ratio! This is my kind of pizza! They also serve by the slice and it is cash only. Very old school, but I had high hopes going into this.

We walked in and told the guy at the front we were hear because Barstool said it was some of the best in the city. Waited only a few minutes for our slices to be ready. Great flop, crust crunch is immaculate, incredible sauce to cheese ratio. The same guy was so happy to show us the barstool plaque on the wall after. Incredible spot we will go there every time we make it to San Diego. Cheers !

Worth the hype. The ratio of cheese to sauce to crust is 👌🏻 I went there before and got the slices, was gonna rate that experience but some things came up and I had to reheat everything in my over… I woulda given that reheat experience a 7.8 which is very good for a reheat. I wanted to do the review proper so this time I got a whole fresh pie and I ate a half a slice within minutes of purchase. Totally my style of pizza

California pizza is hardly ever good. This was solid. Light, great crust, better than average sauce.

Rating for the cheese slice only. Really cool interior. Nice crisp to the slice. The spinach slice was fantastic.
