Brooklyn DOP

The plain slice was good, crisp but not crunchy while being fluffy and relatively thin and has a good sauce, the spicy marg was fire would recommend. They burned my crust tho

Brooklyn DOP is putting out a legit Brooklyn slice. The crust is the star—light, airy, and folds the way a New York slice should. It almost has that old-school bromated flour texture like Trumps. I could be wrong, and I hope I am because while I like that style, bromated flour isn’t exactly a health food. The sauce leans slightly sweet with a nice hit of basil, and the Parmigiano Reggiano adds just enough salty bite without overpowering the pizza. My only nitpick? I’d take a little more sauce, but that’s personal preference. Overall, this is a quality neighborhood slice that checks a lot of boxes. If you’re looking for a classic Brooklyn-style pizza with great texture and balanced flavor, Brooklyn DOP is well worth the stop. Score: 8.0/10

Great crunch and sauce no napkin required

Better than I expected. I’ve had more pizza in my life than most. Surprised by how good this was. Top 5 in NYC for sure if not top 3.

Alright Brooklyn DOP. Hipster joint. But not hipster pizza. It’s like a homage to the good ol days. Really good sweet sauce, very light pie, but not beta bitch pizza whatsoever. This is not after the little league game pizza but more after the girls soccer game pizza because it’s park slope and there are bunch of pussy ass girl dad’s running around. I give it a solid 8.4. For those who know the game I’ll give ya this combination the slice is like a combo of the old Genaro’s on SI, the old Nunzios on SI, and Di Fara. Book it and hook it, if ya in the area stop in there and avoid talking politics with the hipsters. Also the place looks like something out of a Noah Baumbach movie. Definitely Super Bowl Pizza but if ya in that area they don’t watch the Super Bowl, they watch the Olympics, so bring this over while they are having their gay ass “watch party” and you’ll be a hit with the pretentious hipsters. You’ll be such a hit that you could say you like Jimmy Buffett and they won’t mock ya to your face.

yep it’s rly good. feels autentico and DOP / italian products promise / flatiron calabrian marketing does work pizza itself has crispy and perfectly thin crust with 0 flop. sauce is good, the cheese slice perhaps slightly over cheesed

Crust is thin. Good sauce just enough.

Unfortunately I feel as if the slice I had was sitting out for a while despite it getting reheated. Crust was on the dryer side, but the flavor of the sauce was present.

I'm basing this review solely on the Giusepp', which is their NY Style slice. I also got the Nonna with roni cups, which is their grandma slice. Giusepp' is an excellent slice. I think one of the best in NY. The sauce is tangy with a touch of sweetness. The cheese is flavorful and the undercarriage is crisp with the right amount of chew. It's well seasoned and has great balance. The crust gives a mouthful with good chew, goo's flavor and nice finish. Little to complain about this slice. Unfortunately, I Nonna with roni was less impressive and enjoyable. I prefer grandma slices thinner. The dough was too thick, halfway to a Sicilian. Because of that, there was an imbalance. I couldn't taste the sauce and cheese as much as on the Giusepp'. The roni cups were nice, had subtle heat and right amount of saltiness. But it was lost in the dough. It's not bad, by any stretch. But I had the Giusepp' first and had higher expectations. I would give the Nonna with roni cups a 7.

Thin like i like

Been waiting to try Brooklyn DOP for a long time; I like char on my pizza but the undercarriage on this slice was beyond char. The slice still had flavor and you can tast the quality of the ingredients they use. I also had a Sicilian which was delicious; I will be back for another slice to see if it was off day but I was anticipating this being in the 8’s for me.
