Looks great ... taste, not so much. Maybe I caught them on a bad day considering all the other reviews. Sauce was watery and bland, cheese was average, and the dough, while very crispy, tasted identical to Pillsbury pizza dough.

Ok Quarentine review time indoor dining upgrade style.... Here at Brooklyn Square in Jackson, NJ.... first time being able to eat inside in New Jersey in months. Was excited for this one. I have to admit though they got my balls twisted when I sat down and ordered a pie and the waitress told me that normally under these circumstances you can’t sit down in the restaurant to order a pie. It’s a goddamn pizzeria I’m not here to order filet of Sole!?? COVID or not, you got a customer in your business order in food you don’t tell them they can’t sit here because they’re ordering a pie. Their excuse was that they forgot to tell me in the beginning and since it was slow it was OK. Not cool but I’m gonna try not to let it affect your review... as far as the slice it’s not L and B but they tried pretty damn hard. The sauce was definitely different than L&B but still had a nice flavor the cheese was pretty good as well. Nice crispy crust with a fluffy inside also a little different than L&B but still good as well...8.8 that’s the review

It was worth the extra 20 mins detour to stop and try their upside down square 🔥🔥

Hell of a pizza. Love a good square. Crust is excellent, and rhey have excellent ranch dressing. Worth the trip

When Davey boy picks out a good Sicilian pie I gotta have it. The pie has awesome texture. Almost like deep dish layering with a loud crunch at the end. The only thing that holds it back for me is there is too much Parmesan cheese. Still worth the meal though.

Were it not for Kate and Al’s in Columbus, NJ (a 9.8 in my book), this would be the best square pie in the game. The sweet and tangy sauce is excellent—definitely the lead role of the ingredients. That being said, the cheese adds a nice saltiness to the experience. Dough-wise, we’re talking pillow-like fluffiness. Worth seeking out. The round pie, however, is a 6.5—very bland and too cheese-dominated; its sesame seed crust is an interesting novelty but nothing to write home about. UPDATE: Had leftovers of the square pie the next day and dare I say it was even better? I do. The dough was incredible—almost like Italian Easter bread. Not changing my original score out of integrity, but the next-day square pie could easily be an 8.9.

This slice is incredible and there is not much more that needs to be said.

Really good sauce and fresh tasting! Not usually a Sicilian/square pizza fan but this was good. If in the area worth stoping by

I would drive an hour and a half from the city to get this pie. The square pie is the way to go. Well done undercarriage, the sauce has great season. Airy and crisp pie. Perfect amount of cheese. A well balanced pie over all.

Too hip to be square. I’m not normally a square fan but this is one of the best. Tastes like a puffed up L & B slice. It is Sicilian but the dough is fluffy in a way that makes these easier to eat than your typical Sicilian comrade. I had this after the six flags safari today and thought how great it could have been if we went before hand and I could have pizza slapped the giraffe who stuck its head in my car because the slice is soooo saucy.

The only complaint I have is it’s a little salty. Other then that, I am digging the sesame seeds on the crust! The all around flavor is fantastic! This pizza really packs a punch!!
