Pizza Review
🟥BEST SQUARE PIZZA ALERT🟥 Not only is this one of the best square pies I’ve ever had, it’s some of the best pizza New Jersey has to offer. First of all, the box weighs a ton; you would think the pizza was made with bricks. Each slice is a full meal, like eating a loaf of bread, very filling but incredibly delicious. The dough is heavy but also super fluffy, fresh and soft with a firm undercarriage and a delightfully tasty and crispy crust. Because this is an “Upside Down” style pie, the mozzarella hugs the dough while the sauce rests atop. The mozzarella cheese is extremely fresh and stringy, coating the dough beautifully, an ideal amount. The sauce is thick & hearty, plenty of spice and substance, with the sweetness neutralized by the Pecorino Romano cheese sprinkled across the top. This is an exquisite combination of flavors all working in conjunction, creating a perfect harmony of taste. When it comes to square pies, this is better than L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, but just as heavy. Easily one of the best square slices in NJ, just a notch below Michael Angelo’s square pizza in Fairfield. I can’t speak for the other 2 Brooklyn Square locations, but this one is worth making a trip to whether you love square pies or not.
