In a sea of Outback Steakhouses and Olive Gardens we found this little gem of an Italian restaurant tucked in
just off the highway. Bruno, the no nonsense owner, stood to approve us at the front door and snapped his
fingers and yelled out "13” signalling for a sever to show us to our table. Nice little complimentary starter Italian salad and bread to start. Pizza came out hot and looking good. Amazing crisp and crunch on th first bite which put this to an 8.0. Very light and good air bubbles in the side crust. Fairly well done undercarriage. Not too greasy on top. Sauce was basic marinara with some oregano flakes, but nothing above and beyond which held this back from going higher than an 8. We had mushrooms on ours, so any pieces with shrooms near the slice ends did obviously cause too much flop from the water cooking out of the shrooms, but the pieces light on mushrooms had just the right amount of flop so | scored based on the lightest mushroom piece. Not too much flop at all on that one, just the right amount. Great all around pizza and Bruno runs a real tight ship. Checked on us three times, but it was one way and he told us how it was, not the other way around, which was refreshing for sure. Absolutely recommend this
place for a change of pace from the big box restaurants in the area. Our other dish, a creamy chicken pesto pasta, was very good as well.
