🍺BEST BAR PIE ALERT🍺 💎DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH ALERT💎 🚨BEST OF NEW JERSEY ALERT🚨 Established way back in 1933, Bunny’s is now a 5th generation bar & restaurant serving some of the most delicious thin crust bar pies in New Jersey. Among other legendary bar pie establishments, this joint has flown under the radar for years. With an otherworldly combination of taste & texture, their pizza is razor thin; so remarkably thin you could slide it under a door. Incredibly crispy & crunchy, the flavorful dough is ultra firm, with zero flop & a magnificently charred undercarriage that renders a sensationally smokey taste from the significantly blackened dough. There’s crisp & crunch in every single bite, highlighted by the exquisitely thin & crunchy crust with near perfect consistency. Typical of all great bar pies, the cheese is rather tight & rigid, lacking creaminess & not as melty as standard shredded mozzarella blends. Plastered atop the dough, the cheese is somewhat hardened & congealed in a few spots but remains tremendously tasty with signature sharp bar pie taste & texture. Sweet & savory, zesty & zippy, the sauce is strikingly spectacular; with plenty of tang & bang, it’s shockingly splendid for a bar pie blend, totally hits the spot. The balance of volume & flavors among the dough, cheese & sauce is simply marvelous, with each ingredient complimenting the others exceptionally. Well done in every sense, this is a rare combo of fantastic flavor & incredible consistency; the taste & texture are in sync, making this one of the best thin crust bar pies I’ve ever tried. Destination pizza to say the least, especially if you love this particular style, this is a true diamond in the rough among Garden State bar pies.
