Buongusto Pizza Restaurant & Catering

I should have heeded the warnings of all the low scores on the OneBite app; but I needed to see for myself if this is truly terrible pizza or being unfairly attacked. In all honesty, some of these ratings aren’t low enough; this pizza is hot garbage. The pie is very large and relatively thin, a standard-looking strip mall football pizza. The dough actually has a decent texture, firmish undercarriage with a little crunch and just crispy enough; but it’s not tasty whatsoever, on par with dry cardboard. The real problem here is the cheese. Not sure what kind of shredded blend this is but it tastes foul; like it’s gone bad from being expired, similar to vomit, absolutely nauseating. The sauce is watery, runny, liquidy, flavorless and scant. The grease actually melds with the sauce, rendering it borderline undetectable; this might as well be a white pie with the dearth of red sauce. The dough, cheese and sauce all join forces to make one big steaming pile of trash. I thought I could find something redeeming about this pizza; but I was absolutely stunned at how bad this pie wound up being. I hate killing any pizzeria cause I know they work hard every single day and they’re trying their best; but this is abominable pizza, truly abysmal, and some of the worst I’ve ever rated. Unless they make some major changes to the ingredients, they might as well re-name this joint “Disgusto.”
