Pizza Review
Ok, review after Turkey day. Keeping the tradition alive. Zero flop, decent crisp. Good sauce. But could use some more zip. Need some flavor town! It will do, but not going out of my way for it.

Pizza Review
Opened in June of 2022, the BPC prides themselves on being a “modern pizza shop creating old world Italian taste.” In actuality, this is more like assembly line traditional football pizza…formulaic, regulated, corporate, franchise-type pizza. Not to say that it’s bad, just not made with that mom & pop, neighborhood pizzeria love you get from old school establishments. While the majority of the dough is soft, the undercarriage is actually rather firm; not too thick, not exactly thin and not particularly crispy with zero floppage to go along with minimal crunch. With slightly above bland flavor, the crust has kind of a stale consistency, like it was reheated in a gas oven. Melted very well, the cheese is a fairly creamy shredded mozzarella blend with a lovely lava-like flow. Decently tasty although hiding a significant amount of grease underneath, causing substantial drippage with each bite. The excess oil creates a slightly salty taste that somewhat hinders the overall flavor from the reasonably above average cheese. Saving the pie from a score in the 6s, the sweetish sauce has tremendous garlic & tomato taste, with a fair amount of spices drumming up quality tang & kick, carrying this pizza into the 7s. The strength of the sauce & tremendous texture of the cheese outweigh the pedestrian flavor of the dough & glut of grease that hold the pie back. Overall, this is a very standard, barely above average, dime-a-dozen football pizza. This feels like chain/franchise pizza in the making, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just not anything special or original.
