Campania Coal-Fired Pizza

Alright Campania. Always a good looking pie. But like most coal fire pizzas for some reason it gets cold quick. I don’t know what it is. It’s like a wannabe John’s on Bleeker. It even looks a lot like John’s. The Squares are always on point. But for some reason the round just ain’t it. If you order from them, skip the round and go straight for the squares. And if you dare to order from them on the Super Bowl or Wrestlemania or a fucking Tuesday when the Yanks are playin the Sawx, don’t even think about serving this to your boys. They’ll be walking out of there very hungry and they’ll try to eat your dog on the way out.

Campania, known for its Italian dishes and wonderful coal fire oven. Trying their original slice, I was hit with a pleasurable taste. Phenomenal undercarriage, solid hold and thin bread, I found extreme comfort within this slice. I enjoyed it so much so that at the end, I wondered why the journey was so short. I felt robbed of a longer pizza experience, leaving me to be upset with the size of my slice. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the slice and found it very above average.

This slice does its justice. A delectable, thin, coal flavored slice truly invigorates the tastebuds on my tounge. It’s crisp and juicy. Campania, you are a 8.1.

Great pizza fresh mutz on point, lots of flavor, not a boring pizza at all

Got a paper cut every bite because she’s so dang thin. Wouldn’t mind cutting myself again with this here fine slice.

Just average pizza. Nothing to rave about. Probably would not get again.

I’m being generous here I think. I’ve had their pizza before (with toppings) and it was great. Had a plan today, was disappointed. Cheese was too much, too chewy, way to much flop. Generous 7.8 since the slice after (pepperoni) was high 8’s low 9’s.

Great ratio of cheese to sauce (on the slice I had), but as you can see from the photo some slices have more sauce than others. The sauce is excellent as well as the cheese. I wouldn’t mind a little more crisp. This is a great pizza!

Margherita pie much better than the traditional. Flavorful sauce, light, and crispy. Only thing I do not like is the Parmesan cheese sprinkled throughout the top.
