Capone's Coal Fired Pizza

My boyfriend and I wrote these reviews as a team through my account and this one had a lot of debate... I thought it was excellent and Dan thought it was good but not great. But we agreed that an 8.2 is a fair score. The bad: The crisping of the crust was a bit patchy, and the crust itself wasn't overly flavorful. The pizza was soggy toward the middle where the tomatoes and cheese had released moisture. The good: The flavor of the sauce was excellent, and the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil were all quite good. It's not a pizza you could put on the same level as the coal fired greats of New York and Boston, but it's one we thoroughly enjoyed and would go back for again and again.
