Capri Pizza

Been eating this pizza for over 20 years and finally got a whole pie today. Has a tendency to be inconsistent but still one of my personal favorites. Sweet yet fresh and simple sauce. Pinch of oregano and pecorino. Whole milk mozz and a well done, well fermented crust with a touch of semolina at the bottom.

Pizza was floppy too much cheese and thick sauce edible but not my favorite

Too cheesy for me and not much taste besides. Even the oregano I added didn’t redeem this slice. Didn’t finish it.

Overall decent slice. In the category of I’ll be back for sure but if you’re in the area it’s OK. Chewy, cheesy, distinctive sauce. Very floppy send a little greasy. Located next to Ava’s which is ranked in the eights.

Don’t know why it gets ‘the sauce is sweet’ reviews...the sauce to me was actually decent it had a tang to it. Fairly higher score than what others thought- the thin crust boosted its score a bit

I like the well done look. Crust was dry, cheese and sauce were bland. Basic pizza, nothing more.

Good go to pizza, always consistent

I got extra cheese so it got a little messy. The flavor was great. The sauce slightly sweet and the crust was nice a crunchy.

This goes toe to toe with another place in Elizabeth you may have heard of as the best pizza in Union County NJ and probably the best no frills pizza in the state. This gets such a high rating because it’s not your modern flare neo but you can always expect the same greatness when you get this pie every time and it’s been verified plenty of times for me. The sauce stands out with its flavor and tang and the pie is crusted to perfection. I also love that when you pick up you see the owner in your face in a classic style pizza making experience like your own little pizza peep show! But you don’t have to be a peeping Clark to like this- good for the whole family.

Pretty good Margherita pie.

Solis pizza spot. Place is a small hole in the wall. No seats at all, just a counter. Man makes pizza in the window. Place is all time. Nice crunch, good sauce. Bit oily, but I got pepperoni but the cheese is definetly on the fatty side. I liked it. High 7s low 8s should be the average here

Capri Pizza one bite everybody knows the rules, memories of 2 slices and a Yoo Hoo for lunch in 7th & 8th grade at lunch time

The haters said Capri lost their fastball, I say it still has big league stuff

It’s good pizza. Nice sauce and crust.

Usually extremely greasy and the cheese is sloppy. This place use to be better. Hit or miss with the sauce. Flop city cuz.
