Capriccio

The place was popping very busy considering the time of day it was, the pizza was very flavorful and had a good ratio of everything. Only thing I would say was it was more floppy than I would like it to be but good amount of cheese and tomato sauce with a thin undercarriage and a good crispy crust. can see why it’s a local favorite spot. Would’ve gotten a higher review if it wasn’t so floppy, but that’s really the only thing I could say about the slice. overall very solid and good spot would come back here if I was in town.

What a nice building for a pizzeria. The ovens look like brand new Pizza Master ovens. Really a great setup in here and a nice place to fine in at. They have a host of specialty slices that look good. But their plain is average. You know the deal: Medium thin, likely same day dough with little fermentation, brown bake crust, moderate chew, not well baked on top, 8oz tomato sauce type sauce consistently, average cheese/sauce ratio, underseasoned sauce and cheese. Didn't flop. Adding oregano improved things flavor-wise, as would grated cheese. Wish they were on by default. I've now eaten at every pizzeria from Croton up to Mahopac. Might as well go to Baci's if you're in Croton.

This place has a huge interior, huge parking lot and the slices are decent size and above average in flavor, but nowhere near the best. I rate the plain slice at 7.8. The sauce had good flavor, but for a thin crust slice, I shouldn't be expecting flop that required me to hold it with both hands like this one did. A little bit of grease drip enhanced flavor. The penne vodka slice however was flawless and wasn't at all floppy. Pasta was perfect, vodka sauce was nice and flavorful and hit all the right notes. I give this one a 8.8

Extremely disappointed, after being a frequent flyer at capriccio 1 and capriccio 2s the new place missed the mark. Sauce is still great awesome flavor and taste, no crunch in the crust thin and floppy. biggest fall off was the cheese, Lower quality cheese more grease than ever before. Very disappointed in the plain. Specialty slices were still good crust was thicker on those.

One of the best slices in Croton. $12 for a 12 inch is fair. Artisan pies.

It was good but not great alot could be done to make it better.
