Pizza Review
Doing my first review for the sole reason that Carasella’s deserves more recognition. I’m an Italian, have ate a ton of pizza’s in my life, and this tiny relatively unknown place is genuinely one of the best pizza’s, if not the best, I’ve ever had. And I’ve had many not through just the Pittsburgh area but the country. What’s shocking also is how consistent they have been since I found this place over the last 6 months and have eaten regularly. The ingredients used and the way it’s baked is near if not perfect every time. The crust is perfect and delicious. As Dave Portnoy would say “zero flop”. It’s baked so perfect has perfect texture crisp but not overly crispy, chewy but not overly chewy, robust but not overly robust. The sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness. Normally I dislike pizza with any sweetness but there’s is just perfect the right amount. Might be the best sauce I’ve ever had truly. And the cheese just completes it perfectly. Genuinely one of the best put together pizza’s I’ve ever had, everything works in beautiful harmony with each other. I’m writing this review cause if this place ever went out of business god forbid I seriously would cry. Also worth mentioning the Italian Stromboli they have is very delicious too.
