Carelli's Pizzeria Pasta

I actually tried a whole pie while dining in but it was different enough from the normal pizza that I tried a plain cheese slice to go. For the record, the other pizza was equally as good, but this review is solely based on the slice. Overall I gotta say this is probably the best pizza in Craig. Definitely WAY better than any of the National chains that are here. Not leaps better than the other local spot I tried but certain a step above in my humble opinion. Okay so I’ll keep this part simple, just a good all around New York style slice. Nothing blew me away but it tasted fresh, had a nice crispy bottom, could taste the sauce and cheese, wasn’t too heavy. I could use a little more flavor, particularly in the crust, but I could stick with this pizza for a long time and never be tired.

Ok Frankie, sorry about this but unfortunately this just isn’t one of the places for pizza. It’s small town Colorado so I hate to say it but it’s just not that great. It’s on par with something you would get at a roller rink Pizza by the slice or something. I hate to give a small town small business a poor score and this app automatically starts your score at 5.0. Therefore in the name of being nice but fair I’m going to leave it where it is and not rate this place myself. Side note the decor and staff were super. Just the pizza isn’t all that great. If I can suggest. Maybe making it a little thinner and cooking slightly longer. It’s almost undercooked and use a little less sauce and cheese. If they did that it could be good. Maybe we got an off night. Thanks.
