Carlucci's Pizza

I heard so many good things about this place. I was disappointed. First off the menu is a bit confusing. I thought we were ordering a Chicago Deep dish pizza. But the pic above is what we got. They call this the Chicago style. When I asked the lady at the counter the lady in the back (without turning around to look at me) yelled “You should have ordered the Old Chicago Style!” The description of this on the menu isn’t clear—They call it “pan style” and then list bacon on the toppings twice. Nowhere on the menu does it say “Deep dish”. ANYWAYS The pizza we got was ok at best. Also got a straight hand tossed pepperoni which wasn’t much different than the Chicago style. The sauce and cheese were tasteless and the pepperoni was rather greasy. Not much taste to the pizza at all. The crust was good. They are around 45 minutes away from me and it’s hard to drive pass several great places to try them again. I judged the pizza that we got and not the experience I had with asking questions and the menu issues. Calucci’s Pizza 5.6
