Caruso Brick Oven Trattoria

Hard to rate because they don't have a regular cheese pizza. On the other hand what we had was amazing!!!

Very good brick oven style pizza, others complain about it not being crispy enough but mine came perfectly crispy with great “leopard spotting” char on the bottom. You can tell its all very fresh quality ingredients. Only reason i don’t give it an 8 is the sauce is a little sweet and very tomato forward. I prefer a normal new york style sauce with more tang.

This isn’t a fair review. Pizza was delivered and didn’t have a chance to try until it was cold. Score may be higher when fresh. Sauce is amazing. Lot of flavor. Great taste and great bread.

I just told them make me a cheese pizza and they asked what I wanted on it. I just said “a cheese pizza, however you normally do it because I know you have good reviews” SO when I got there the pizza man gave me a side of balsamic and garlic aïoli sauce. I also asked him for a side of sauce because he advised me that they basically just made me a white pizza. Delicious. & I will order it like this next time! Even though I got it to-go I found that everyone who worked here was quick, friendly, and clean cut. While I was picking up my pizza in sweat pants and a hoodie looking like a typically Philly scumbag. In any event, great pizza.

Good pizza and piggyback the prez message

This is literally the closest thing to perfect pizza you can get. It's 100% authentic Italian pizza, specifically in the style of pizza from Naples, as the family who owns Caruso is from Naples. It's cooked in a brick oven and tastes exactly how pizza tastes in Italy. Easily the best pizza in the Philly suburbs!!!

Not as crispy as I expected but cheese is good .
